First sample cut and sew averages $125, including most washes.

Production sewing cost vary from $18.74 to $28.33 depending on quantity and operation count.

Production washing cost vary from $6.40 to $28.80 depending on quantity, hand work, operation count and wash cycles.

Production fabric cost vary from $5.50 to $8.90 per yard depending on quantity and fabric availability. Fabric yield per garment average 1.55 yards per unit on women's to 1.7 yards per unit on men's. Fabric width on selvage goods (31 inches) creates a larger usage (around 3 yards).

If you really want to be in the denim business, it requires an investment. you will need to have $5,000 that it won't kill you to lose to try and get a full blown denim sample line.
